Finding new content sources can be challenging. As I’m writing a lengthy white paper on content marketing and the strategy behind it, I’m finding some nice tidbits that you should know. For any communication campaign strategy, you will develop content.
In public relations that has been true from the beginning. Without content to feed the media, PR is useless. Today, the profession and practice is going social. Social media tools are allowing practitioners to build relationships directly with stakeholders without the help of mainstream media.
At times, however, we scramble to find content sources. In a white paper I will publish very soon, my research has identified 10 content sources you may have missed. Here’s a sneak peak:
- Marketing, but don’t let it sound like marketing-speak
- Industry News
- Tips on products or services
- Advice
- Commentary
- New developments in the company
- How-to
- LinkedIn Questions from Groups
- Twitter conversations
- Commentary on other blog posts in your industry.
Stay tuned for the release my white paper on public relations and content marketing.
