Social PR: Learn About Tools You Can’t Afford to Ignore

Have you heard the buzz about social media’s impact on business, public relations and marketing? It’s no secret anymore. Consumers are engaged, they are talking about your products and services, and they are doing that online. To have an effective strategy, you need to know what tools to use in a public relations campaign. Your efforts demand it, and your bottom line is screaming for it. Luckily, I’m teaching a series of courses through the Ivy Tech Workforce Economic Development program this Spring.

In the first course, we’ll look at for basic tools of social PR:

Additionally, we will examine three case studies where social media PR went awry and talk about the opportunities each company had to make right what went wrong. We’ll look at these examples:

  • Honda Motor Company
  • Belkin
  • Comcast

The point of studying these cases is to equip owners of small and medium size businesses with the know-how to successfully steer clear of these mistakes.
